Description: Basic Functions: The Job Trainer will design, develop and conduct large or small scale training including but not limited to; develop curricula, prepare lesson plans, and deliver workshops on resume building, interviewing techniques, problem solving skills, financial literacy, specialized and industry based work skills needed to succeed in the workplace for unemployed SNAP recipients. The Job Trainer will utilize hospitality-related skills to develop training and workshops to promote teamwork, quality customer service, problem solving/decision making, works with tools/technology, health and safety, and career skills. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and able to provide meaningful activities to enhance hospitality-related skills. The Job Trainer will assist with the management of a caseload through assessments, trainings, employment placement, retention, and referrals to employment. Responsible for preparing individuals in securing long-term, full time employment and necessary trainings to increase average income from wages. Must be energetic and a great communicator.

Preferred Requirements: Master’s degree in nutrition, hospitality or foodservice from an accredited university. Two years of experience in the workforce development field/hospitality related field. Five years of supervisory experience in management in food production. Must have superb presentation skills; proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, conduct and evaluate). Aware of trends in the labor market, workplace literacy, and familiar with traditional and modern training methods and techniques. Proficient in MS Office.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Three to five years of experience in the workforce development field/hospitality related field. Three years of supervisory experience in management in food production. Must have excellent presentation skills with two years of experience in delivering interactive adult training. Knowledgeable of traditional and modern training methods and techniques. Proficient in MS Office.

• Driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Agency specified automobile insurance
• Have the flexibility to work some nights and weekends as required
• Have the ability to lift 30-50 pounds in a continuous motion
